Peppadew is the brand name of sweet piquanté peppers, a variety of species Capsicum baccatum that grown in the Limpopo province of South Africa. Peppadew is derived from 'Pepper' and 'dew'. It is ranged at 1177 SHU (Scoville Heat Unit).

Peppadew is a sweet pepper with a mild heat, and best if stuff with soft cheese, such as cream cheese, feta or mozzarella, and can be bought ready-stuffed. Peppadew can be made into pickles, or added to kebabs, salads, omelettes, sandwishes, or as pizza toppings.
