Olallieberry is a cross between loganberry and youngberry, each of which is a cross between balckberry and another berry ( raspberry and dewberry, respectively). Olallie means berry in Chinook Jargon.
Olallieberry has a distinctive, sweet flavor and resembled a large, elongated blackberry. The berries can be eaten fresh or make into jams and jellies.
