Lemon drop is a variety of hot chili pepper of the species Capsicum baccatum. It is a hot, citrus-flavored pepper, with heat level 15,000-30,000 SHU (Scoville Heat Unit). It is a popular seasoning pepper in Peru where it is known as Kellu Uchu, and Lemon Drop or Hot Lemon in anglophone world.

The Lemon drop plant can grow to 3 feet tall, bearing bright yellow, crinkled, cone-shaped fruits, 2.5" long and 0.5" wide, maturing from green to yellow in approximately 100 days after planting. Lemon drop has lesser seeds than the average peppers, containing about 15 seeds.
