Black Rice Gardening

Cereals and Grains Gardening Guide About Tim & Esther
Black rice is one of the several black-colored heirloom plants producing rice variants, such as Indonesian Black Rice and Forbidden Rice. It is rich in iron, high in fiber and has a deep nutty taste. Forbidden rice is a strain of Chinese black rice, and is considered as both food and medicine in China. Forbidden rice has a dark purple color because it contains high amount of anthocyanins, a powerful antioxidant. This rice contains more vitamin B, vitamin E, niacin, calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc than white rice.
